The Miss Jacksonville Competition, Inc. (MJC) is pleased to sponsor the Miss Jacksonville and Miss River City Competition.

With over sixty years of combined experience in the pageant industry represented by its Board of Directors, the MJC exists to promote scholastic excellence in today's young women.  It encourages young women, 13 - 26 years of age, to strive to exceed their goals and accomplish their dreams through participation in the worthwhile. life-changing scholarship program.

As part of the Miss Florida and Miss America Organizations, the Miss Jacksonville and Miss River City Competition is proud to contribute to one of the largest sources of scholarship opportunities for women in the world.

Miss Jacksonville and Miss River City will compete for the prestigious title of Miss Florida and will have the opportunity to earn scholarships toward furthering her education.  In addition, throughout her Year of Service, she will have the chance to network with the people of our great City and promote a platform, or critical cause that is near to her heart.

Participating in the Miss Florida/Miss America System not only helps young women pay for college and prepare for a career, it also provides an opportunity to gain additional life experience, work on issues of importance to society, enhance personal and professional skills and develop performance-related and other talents.

The Jacksonville Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is also pleased to sponsor Miss Jacksonville's Outstanding Teen and Miss River City's Outstanding Teen, which are preliminary titles in the Miss Florida Outstanding Teen System, the "Little Sister Pageant" to Miss America. 

All Miss and Teen Contestants will compete at their respective State Level Competition and vie for the crowns of MISS FLORIDA and MISS FLORIDA'S OUTSTANDING TEEN.  Should any of our contestants win the state titles, she will have the opportunity to compete to become
Miss America or Miss America's Outstanding Teen!
